Rick and Morty spinoff will follow the adventures of Keith David's President Curtis
U.S. President Andre Curtis (Keith David) has served as a foil for super scientist Rick Sanchez (Justin Roiland, replaced by Harry Belden in season 7) throughout much of Rick and Mortys eight-season run on Adult Swim. The president has alternated between calling Rick in to help with threats to Earth, trying to arrest Rick for his dangerous antics, and causing big problems all on his own like taking over an alien hive mind to boost his approval ratings. Now hell be handling Americas response to more weird science fiction crises on his own TV show. David made a surprise appearance at Adult Swims Rick and Morty panel at San Diego Comic-Con to announce his starring role in President Curtis, which will be co-created by Rick and Morty executive producers Dan Harmon and James Siciliano.
